Paul, We stayed there for a week in June 2003. We have 3 kids whom were then aged 9,7 & 5. Good family site although I could imagine it would be very busy in August. They have friendly security on the gate and the facilities are good. There are two touring areas, one past just past the shop and another ( which we preferred) down the hill on the left just past the entrance which is separate from the rest of the park. In our opinion, the Hoburne sites are far better than the similar offerings by Haven & British Holidays. We would go to the park again if we go back to Paignton. Hope this helps. Ken.

Paul, we haven't stayed at Hoburn sites but there are two other site in the Paignton area which I can thoroughly recommend, it all depends on the ages of your children and whether you prefer an all singing all dancing site or a quiet more relaxed site.

For a site with fantastic facilities for all members of the family whether wet or fine I would recommend Beverly Park at Goodrington ( approx. 1 mile outside Paignton and close to the beach and steam train to Dartmouth. This site is expensive but cannot be faulted for the amenities on offer.

The other site is a quiet family run site with outdoor heated swimming pool, small bar area with limited children's entertainment, shop and takeaway, there is also aa small games room on the site. This site is Widend Caravan site at Marlden again just outside Paignton. This site is quiet compared to Hoburn and Beverly Park but is far cheaper. Very clean facilities and a friendly run site with family only clientel.

As I say it all depends on what type of site you are looking for. Good luck and enjoy your stay in Paignton, we visit this area a few times a year and each time enjoy ourselves.

Paul, we have just returned from a 10 day stay there.A really enjoyable holiday The pitches are well maintained and spacious(only allowed to use breathable groundsheets)As ken mentioned we had a pitch in the touring area down the hill,2 toliet blocks with hot showers which were cleaned frequently.Excellent facilities for the kids, great park area, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, soft play area.My kids had a great time being entertained in the club by sammy the seahorse and his friends. We will go back again, hope this helps.Tracy
