Looking for a recommendation in South Devon. I have two children aged 12 & 13. Will need to go in August for two weeks and have a large twin axle van measuring 24 ft. Has anyone been to Beverley Park?

Hi Ian/Colin,We also have been to Beverley Park and found it was a great, clean site with lots to do,however we found that toward the end of our 2weeks stay we noticed the campsite opposite was also catered for by the Beverly park which explained the overcrowding of the bar and pool areas. We decided though that we loved the surrounding area and would holiday there again but at the bottom of the main street that Beverley Park is situated and found that this site was even better still called Hoburn torbay. You can catch the same bus into town as it runs along the same street as Beverley Park, joanneHi Ian Beverley Park is a fantastic site - there is something for all ages no matter what the weather, there is no need to go off the site. However there is a local bus service into Paignton every fifteen minutes past the site and is probably better than trying to find a car park in town. There are a lot of attractions in the area for all interests as the site is pretty central for Paignton, Torquay and Totnes. Brixham and Dartmouth are also not too far away by either road or steam train. The only down side is that it is quite an expensive site for peak holiday time.
An excellent site in this area is Widend at Marldon which is again central for all areas mentioned above but a lot cheaper. Widend does not cater for such a selection of entertainment as Beverley Park but has a heated swimming pool, shop, take away and club house. The site is spotless regarding toilet and shower facilities. My wife and I have been going to this site for many years, with our children when younger and now the grand children. Give them a ring (01803)550116. The brochure does not give the site justice - far better than on the brochure.
