Hi folks, just back from our trip to Woodlands and Tintagel,(Trewethett Farm CC site)

Both sites were excellent, which is more than can be said for the weather. Ironically it was sunny up here in the Highlands for most of the fortnight we were away! Don't get me wrong, i'm not complaining after seeing the state of the Midlands on the way up the road on Saturday morning. If any of you are in that area i my sympathies are well and truly with you,

Gavin.

Welcome back Gavin,

We also had about ten days at Tintagel, the wind never stopped blowing. It looks like France for us next summer and we will stay in Scotland for the rest. Just hope the midge patches work !!!!!!!!!

Hi Frank, how did your trip go? We didn't have very good weather but Trewethett Farm is a beautiful site, just a pity it's not a bit closer too home! Next year we're going to wait for as long as possible and try and go where the decent weather is.

Hi Diane, it was Woodlands Leisure Park near Dartmouth. I've got 10 and 13 year old daughters so we went there to keep them amused, the pitches and facilities are immaculate though, not what you expect sometimes from a large commercial site,

Gavin.

Gavin,

Trewethett Farm is a nice site we pitched in the top field, had good views out over the sea.

We also went to a CL in Somerset very close to Wells, which was very pleasant nice people running the site. Then off to Wales stayed at Gowerton not a bad site, went for a look at Pembrey now that is a very nice site. On the way back up we stayed at Engelthwaite Hall CC site with no toilet block etc. I can't think for the life of me why it has no facilities. With it being just a couple of miles off the M6 not a bad break point on the way to Aberdeen

I took a Tesco Credit Card a couple of months ago to save the points for a ferry or tunnel trip next spring. To cut a long story short we have just had a new kitchen and bathroom so I

spent
