Hi. I set up my water on my Bailey unicorn Madrid this weekend and noticed a leak coming from the stem tee adaptor which is circled in red. When I had the pump on and taps open the water ran fine but as soon as I closed the taps it’s almost like the pressure built up and started leaking out this join. Is it likely to be a faulty tee or surge damper ? Has anyone else had this issue ?
TIA

Thanks for the reply. I gave them a good check to see if it was all connected properly and did seem to be! Will get a new T and try that 👍🏼

Push each pipe in, and then pull them as if trying to remove them, that ensures the seals within the fitting are compressed.

will try this thank you! Any clue as to why it was fine when I had all the taps on and running? But as soon as I turned the taps off it started to leak? Haven’t had it before so hopefully it’s just faulty and a new one will sort it.

When a tap is open there is no pressure within the system, once a tap is closed the system gets pressurised and any leaks become apparent.

I'm having a de-ja vue moment , I'm sure I replied to the OPs question but here goes:-
I have had this on a clients van the leak was due to the whale stem elbow being slightly stressed and where the stem fitted into the JG female it pulled a the O ring ,also the stem has two slots in it(see photo). The 'teeth' in the female fitting fits into one of these , if the stem isn't pushed in far enough or at an angle the stem tends to leak and can be slowly pushed out.The original fitters had put too short a piece of pipe leading back the the sink area and this pulled a the stem tee causing it to leak when under pressure. Fitting a longer piece and securing the pipes to the floor with P clips sorted it.

If Sam or I had deleted it in this thread, I would be able to see it, which I can’t. However I think that there was a Duplicate thread to this one which Sam sorted. Perhaps it was in that thread and vanished in the process? IT is not always as cooperative as one would like! Please reply again.

As Mel stated there was a duplicate thread which I deleted. I noticed a few times that although I get a notification about an updated post when I check it's not always there. Seems to be a delay for some reason.

So apologies if the duplicate I deleted had Rogers post and got deleted before the other one had been updated.
