Honda CR-V 1.6

I'm thinking of changing my 2.2 CR-V for the 1.6 version. I've read the Practical Caravan review but wondered if anyone had experience of towing with the 1.6?

Bought a 1.6 9 speed auto in March this year and in July, towed an Abbey 460 approx 800 miles with a return journey to Silverstone. Towed the same van on the same journey last year with the 2.2 idtec model which was a manual. Not that there was any problem whatsoever with the 2.2, but towing was effortless with the 1.6 and was a more comfy drive just leaving the box to do its own thing. never felt underpowered in the slightest and would pick up speed quickly if required. It tended to stay in 7th the majority of the time on the motorways with an occasional 6th on long motorway hills. MPG last year averaged 22 and this year was 24 although weather was much kinder this year so that probably had a bearing on the figure. The reversing camera makes hitching up a doddle.
