honda crv 13 pin socket

having changed my caravan to a new one I went to a specialist to have a 13 way socket fitted, he started the job but said he could not do it as there was a micro switch incorperated in my twin sockets with 3 wires coming out which he did not know what to do with them. I will do the job myself if I can find the correct socket and wiring details. Any clues please?

Hi Frank

That sounds like the micro switch for the rear fog light ( i had one inside my 12n socket ) before i changed to the euro 13pin set up.

Dont know what year your car is ? if it's from 01/07 then this will plug in ok

i believe the fog cut out has two wires. is the towbar the honda one? maybe it was used for the honda trailer control?

Thanks also for your reply it is the latest CRV and maybe something to do with the trailer stability control system
