Next week Pat and me are off, first time ever, Pat is driving the first 140 miles then me doing the other 40, well I have got the bit that you have to reverse at the end.

Now I have been reading every book magazine and this forum and some place it said how long the TV hookup has to be, is it 25 feet or 25 yards ?

If anyone knows please tell and this will save me measuring my power hookup cable as this must be the same length.

Oh and one last thing, God no rain next week please.

Hi Reg and Pat.

I would think your T.V hook up cable would be as long as you need!! I have one and its 15 meters long. But more often than not we can use the one on the van as its digital.

We are off on saturday for a week as well so yes no rain or snow please.

Enjoy your trip.

HI! Reg & Pat there is not a standard lenth for your TV hookup cable. have never had to use more than about 25/30ft away from hookup bollard but would buy about 40ft lenth any longer than that and you might start to get a bad picture from signal drop off. hope this helps

cheers Duggie

Now this might be a silly comment, but since your electricity and TV come from the same connection post, would it not be logical that if your EHU cable is 25m then so should be your TV cable?

Suggestion: don't buy a ready made cable as (a) it will probably be on the thin (=lossy) side and (b) it will likely not be foil screened. You can buy a 25m or 50m reel of CTF100 cable or similar for much less than you will pay by the metre - even the likes of Wickes sell it like that. You need foil screened as digital TV is very much more susceptable to interference than analogue and you will get pixelation from electrical noise (yes, even your own pump) picked up on the cable.

It will also have the advantage that if at some later date you decide to go down the satellite route you can use the same cable.
