Can anyone tell me where i can purchase a hoover of 850w or less on power, i have recently purchased a generator from makro, but it needs earthed for connecting to the caravan, but if i plug in an extension cable to the gen i can then use a hoover, i only have 1200w hoover at present which is well too much power for the gen. The hoover has powered up briefly put i need a hoover of suitable power ability.

Grief man taking a hoover on holiday, what with satelite dishes, solar panelling, micro wave cookers, generators, etc. there will be nowhere to put the essentials such as food and drink. The weight of all these accessories will mean only one bottle of Scotch and that will be a small one. Get your priorities right mate and have the wife to sweep the van out when necessary.

We use a plastic dustpan & brush, it's actually quicker than a vacuum cleaner because of the confined space.

If you're really intent on using a vacuum cleaner get one of the 12v types sold in caravan accessory shops.

I would suggest you at least give the wife a small hand held mains powered unit as she'll have more time to pour the scotch.....
