hot water taps

new to caravanning, upgrade from trailer tent. hot water on tap is great! when it works! have cascade 2 hot water heater. cold supply works fine to shower, basin and kitchen sink but hot only works for shower, 2 second trickle from basin and sink then nothing. can hear a click from the taps but no pump activation at water heater, any ideas or advice please?

Stephen, There is the possibility that the micro switches on the sink and basin are faulty. Turn the cold tap at the sink slightly on so pump is running - open the hot tap is there a flow of water from it?

the most common reason for this problem is the micro switch the contacts especially in the shower/toilet. Take the top of the tap knob off and look at the micro Switch contacts get a very fine wet and dry sand paper and VERY GENTALY place it between contacts and give then a couple of rubs. Then spray with WD40 at the end of each season as part of winterising the van take tap knobs off a give each micro switch a squirt of WD40 it helps stop this from happening.
