Your friend is right. It sounds like the thermo coupler is knackered. Not a huge job bet one that is best left to a qualified fitter.

Dazicki, th eoven just needs a good service as the flame lifting off like you describe is due to a bad mixture of gas and air.

You need to get a service engineer to look at it, unless you know what you are doing, you can make things much worse, and actually make it very unsafe to use.

Dazicki, it does not have to be a caravan service engineer, a domestic Corgi engineer can do it, as long as he has the conversion to LPG qualification as well as his domestic qualification.

The problem may be finding a domstic fitter who is willing to work on a caravan system.

Make sure that when you are attempting to light your oven that the lid over the hob is up and firmly back as there may be a cut out switch. If the lid is not up the oven may not light (depending on your caravan) to light. This advice comes from many abortive attempts to light the oven until I remember to put the cover up!!

I am Corgi registered and have LPG qualification but as far as I know Lesiure vehicles are a different qualification.
Yes your right and technically it's none at all!!

However the overall criteria is someone must be competent in the work they undertake, that is a lawful duty on anything where safety is concerned
