How do I know which fridge I've got?!

I've got my new (to me) caravan home on the drive and having never used a van before, thought I'd put my sensible head on and read some of the instruction manuals before I start randomly pushing buttons. It's a 2011 model Coachman Amara 570/6, private sale and came with about 3 weeks' reading worth of instruction manuals for every conceivable system ... apart from the fridge.

No problem I think, I'll just download one from Thetford's website. However .. there appear to be many different models of Thetford fridge. The caravan user manual simply says that it is fitted with a Thetford fridge and to see the technical data specs for full details. The technical data booklet gives no details at all on the fridge. I can't see any visible markings at all in / on the fridge to tell me. Is there any way to find out which one I've got? For something which apparently will run on 230V, 12V or gas I can only see 2 buttons on the fridge so I'm loathe to just dive in and start pressing them in case I burn the van down!

......have you looked inside the fridge for a label on the side wall?

On ours you had to move the salad tray to see the label.

The coachman brochure for 2011 says it is a 107 litre fridge with electronic i ignition, if that is any help

I've looked on the sidewalls but haven't moved the beer (sorry salad) tray. Will try that tonight, thanks!

Tuffty, I think you have the Thetford N 107. I had same fridge fitted to my 2010 545 VIP.
I think Martin 24 might be able to confirm.

Martin 24 can confirm it will be a Thetford unit because he had so many problems with his resulting in a replacement which also played up. Yes Hutch I think it will be a 107

It will be a 107 cos that what is says in the brochure for 2011 Amara. See my post further up the thread.

Tuffty, I think as we have all decided it is the 107 liter fridge as all hand books manuals, an of course the lovely Lady Mel has said. I have found out that the 107 liter fridge is marketed as the Model N112, found this in the Thetford owners manual PDF.

Thanks everyone. As suggested the label was behind the salad tray at the bottom of the fridge. It is a 107 litre model, confusingly called the N112! Thanks for the help
