How fast

A man has a 2 mile journey to undertake. For the first mile, he averages 30 mph. How fast does he have to go in the second mile to average 60mph for the whole journey?

SBS,

Theres no way he can average 60mph!

2 miles at 60mph would take 2 minutes but 1 mile at 30mph also takes 2 mins,so he has already used his time after the first mile, unless he's a time traveller of course

Well done, Gill - spot on and with irrefutable logic.

Speed of light, 186,000 miles per second. that way he will average 60 mph per hour over the whole 2 minutes....

Do the maths.........LOL
