Just the same as any other caravan from the same manufacturer- Inconsistent so some are good some are poor, and you can't predict the status of any particular caravan until you actually get it. Consecutive caravans off the production line can be chalk and cheese.

They are a bailey caravan they are lightweight ,well equip and good value but saying that not seen any comments about them .

Take it we're looking at a used van?
All depends on how it's been treated. Has it been serviced regularly?
Do you have a mobile caravan engineer who could check it out for you?
If in any doubt about its condition walk away.

I hadn't realised Bailey no longer produces the bailey orion 400-2 , hence my comment (which is still true by the way)

Secondhand caravans are a rather different ball game, as presumably any initil problems should have been sorted, so a young secondhand caravan can often be a better bet, But as Mr G says evidence of a good service history can be an important consideration.

If you are a novice with caravans, then its all too easy to miss important tell tale signs of problems, so in my opinion its very important to have any prospective purchase checked before you agree buy it, even from a dealer, if possible take an experienced caravanner to look at it with you, or employ a AWS caravan techie to do a pre purchase check on it for any issues. its money well spent.

If a seller is unhappy about having a caravan inspected, ask yourself why, becasue they are quite likely trying to hide a problem - walk away.

Some factors to bear in mind -
the rear curve of the van roof affects the usability of the shower
as there is no front chest the table, clipped to the front shelf, has to be used for meals
the cooking facilities are the triangular shaped 3 burner - although there is a microwave installed, and the oven/grill is a combined unit
MTPLM is 1076kg so can be towed by smaller vehicle
Seems it was only produced between 2011 and 2013

If the caravan has a recent and full AWS service history and looks well looked after that counts force good start. I would expect to see the damp check records and a seller should be able to present a damp survey carried out within the last three months. If not I would want one carried out.
