I just thought I would let everyone know how well we have been treated when having to cancel the sites in Holland,Germany,Switzerland,Belgium and France. This is of course due to the Pet Passports being invalid for another 7 months. We had been prepared to pay deposits if required but not one site has asked for that. Thanks to all and hopefully we shall be visiting later in the year. The worlds not such a bad place is it?

It is uncommon for sites to ask for a deposit on the Continent. It understand they sometimes do in France, but it's certainly not normally the case in Germany, for example.

So sorry to hear you have to cancel your holiday. I can confirm in 7 years of visiting Germany Austria, Holland Belgium and Switzerland. when we have booked any sites we have never been asked for a deposit. Do not book many as we usually go out of season.

It is so reassuring to thnk we will not have inconvenienced these nice people too much.I was looking forward to meeting up with you and hubby Dianne,I was going to suggest a get together while we were in the same area waiting for the tunnel crossing. As soon as is possible we shall be going to Prumtal, probably September. Then we may just head for Spain to winter there. This was to be our plan for next year but now we are seriously considering bringing it forward. This is the main advantage of being retired, everything is a moveable feast.Lutz thank you and your countrymen for being so flexible in your attitude,

So sorry we are not going to be able to meet up with you. When you go to Prumtal I know you will enjoy it very much.
