How many amps being used?

On our Swift motorhome we had an LCD display which showed various information including the amps being used at any one time, our Elddis caravan that we pick up Thursday has a CBE PT 6EX panel fitted, does anyone know if this will do a similar job?

If it doesn't is there any way of managing this so it's possible? Maybe a different panel or a plug and play device of any kind?

We're obviously on the ball with what draws what amp wise, but there have been a few occasions where something has been forgotten and we've noticed we've got pretty close in the past, and with having children who are oblivious to it all it would be good to have.

Thanks

Rich

A Coulomb Counter .

Are you concerned about the Mains 230V current or the 12V system?

For mains power you could fit a non invasive current sense transformer around the live conductor. There are various models.

For DC

There are some self contained power monitors such as

If your not competent to work with wiring, please refer the fitting to a competent person.

Thanks Prof, that's another gadget I desperately want, but don't actually need!

We will rarely, if ever, use the caravan without EHU, so it's purely to see what amps are being used as and when.

I would say I'm fairly competent with all kinds of DIY work, although obviously electricity can be a different thing. Whereabouts and how would this connect to the system?

Thanks
