How to make better use of shower space

Has anyone succesfully converted their shower space into a hanging wardrobe by using a suction rail rather than fittings and screws?

Sounds like you dont water Linda,i love my shower space ,i cant think of any thing more repulsive of sharing a shower with thousands of other people ,i like my own bacteria ,pehaps if you dont like the modern caravan ,buy yourself a van and put a camp bed in the back ,and leave the rest of us to enjoy a bit of luxury ,in fact the house i have just sold had 3 bathrooms with 3 toilets ,so i am hardly going to be sharing with thousands of other people

You can get extendable shower curtain rails that could be used as a clothes rail, depending on the size your shower. At least, when you come to sell your van it is easy to remove. However, caravan walls probably wont take the amount of pressure required to keep a fully laden rail from falling down.

Have you thought about using a hanging wardrobe in the awning, Linda?

Hi Linda

Our Bessacarr has such a rail built in, and I have seen the rails available in accessory shops. They have a strong elastic cord end yo end as well, so you can hand smll items without pegs. The extra rail is very useful indeed for wet kagouls, wetsuits. I agree that you would need to check the mounting area will take the screws (brass or stainless please)needed.
