Hi Linda, yes they can be re tensioned, i will try and explain, remove the retaining screws from inside the van, the inner frame should come away, this carries the blackout blind, turn this over so your looking at the underside, you will see at the roller end a white capping that covers the roller, this clips of with care, that will expose the roller, you then need a couple of pair of Long nose pliers, ease the roller spindle out of it's seating carefully, one end is flat, this is the end you turn to re tension, with the blind rolled up give the flat end about a doz or so turns, you have to hold the spindle with one pair of pliers then turn the flat with the other, turning and releasing in sequence, then when you feel you have enough tension, you have to replace the spindle in it's receiver whilst holding the tension on until you get the flat relocated, once it,s in place test the blind, repeat the operation if necessary,it's a fiddly job, but can be done with care.I,ve done many of these in the course of my work, it's a lot easier to do than explain, this of course applies only to the standard roof light blind.
