my commute is only three miles each way, even so its been really hazardous since the first fall over two weeks ago. up here they only grit the main routes and i stay up the top end of a village which has about six streets between me and the main route. never been a plough or gritter near us and each day is a nightmare tryin to navigate through these streets, the only tracks are the ones made by all of us dafties who take their cars out, and they are frozen hard packed, honestly, it's a nightmare to get to the main roads and lots of folks at my work come from much further away but dont have this problem as they live next to the gritted routes.
