Wondering if someone can help with my question about loading times? I have heard that loading for this service begins nice and early - around 16:00. Does this also apply to caravans? I am used to the Brittany Ferries principle of caravans on last. Don't mind arriving early, but don't want to be sat on the dockside for ever with a bored toddler bouncing round the car!

Cheers, Mike

They tend to start loading about 16:30 and they mix caravans and cars as they load. If you get there for 16:00hrs and get near the front of the queue you will probably get loaded early, and as you drive onto the ferry you drive all the way down the ferry and back down the other side. So if you get on near the start, you will be offloaded first when you arrive at the port.

If you arrive late (after 18:00hrs) you are often kept waiting until the last few vehicles are loaded.

We use this crossing all the time and love it.

Graeme.
