Humax Freeveiw Box

Just after your opinions folks, I currently have in the lounge at home the Humax box which is connected to the old analouge ariel, I know there is no such thing as a digital ariel, but occassionally we loose reception, some channels we cant get but get them upstairs
So my question is will we benifit with a satalite dish indeed will it work on a Sat dish?

Where tht SIL lives there are a lot of trees nearby & she got a aerial company out to do a survey & they ended up fitting one of these with new cable to all of the tv's, absolutly brilliant reception on all four tv's now.

We have a Humax Foxsat hd in the room & I use a sky box in the van.

How long has your old aerial been up inc cable ?

Thats part of my problem the Tv's upstairs and down stairs all run off the same ariel so have renewed all cable down stairs checked and double checked connections but upstairs is fine, can only now assume the distance is loosing signal oh and I have a booster in the loft
By the way the ariel was up before we moved here and that was 28 years ago!!!!!!

The ends of the cable will have coroded in the juction box on the aerial..........

Got a plan before I go jumping around up on the roof
The booster in the loft has a spare terminal so I am going to run a new cable direct to the Humax
with no connections/splitter boxes etc and see how that goes.

Is the cable that comes from your aerial to your booster original 28 year old stuff ?

I love you Sprocket!! just give me something else to do but yes proberbly is, but as the upstairs Tv's work Ok cant think there can be to much wrong thats my hope anyway.
