Hi folks, we’ve been towing our Bailey pageant bretagne for several years with a Ford smax 2.0 diesel. Really like the 3 proper back seats for the growing kids. Has anyone any towing experience with the new hybrid smax? Reluctant to invest in diesel family car. Any advice gratefully received. 🙂
 
The Ford spec shows a max tow load of 1560 kg for the 2.5 litre petrol on a 12% incline. The diesel is 1800 kg. The S max is quite new and I’ve not seen any tests but a comparison might be the Kuga hybrid with the 2.5 litre petrol engine. There might be some read across as the Kuga has been available for longer. S Max looks a nice car.
