I am considering a Hyundai Terracan. Massive kerb, towing and nose weight, 5 year guarantee, flip up tailgate and remarkable price seem to add up to an excellent all rounder. After all, looks 'aint everything! So if any like minded individuals have one, do let me know what you think.

I've had my manual terracan for a year now and can easily get 32-33 mpg on a long run. Mileage gets better as the engine loosens up, my engine is the early facelift 163 hp version with 5 full lap/diagonal seatbelts and larger brakes. I tow a large boat trailer and 18 ft power boat and also a Avante 524 caravan and have only praise for the beast as it tows rock solid and has a much larger boot than the Sorento which was my other choice at the time.My previous towcar was a Seat Alhambra 115 hp and that was very good but the Terracan is in a different league - and that 5 year warranty what else can you say ? No trouble to date but servicing is more expensive than on the seat.
