Hi

After further research and with advice from folks on this site I've just ordered my Powertouch 3 heavy duty motor mover for the caravan.

I ordered direct from Powertouch by phone. They agreed to price match against the "Rhyno Charger", refused to match against the "Rhyno Lite". The "Rhyno Charger" was £775, fitted, plus the price of the Powertouch electic actuator, an additional £195. This gave me the excellent price of £970. In addition I was able to take advantage of Powertouch's excellent FREE finance. I have paid £370 deposit and then £100 for the next 6 months all taken from my debit card and NO extra charge for this arrangement. This price compares VERY WELL with Powertouch's internet price of £1190 or or the best other web price I found of £1060

They say that the mover will be sent out next week and a local fitter will then contact me to arrange a suitable time. The salesman said that they may be able to fit it before Easter.

Oh - I feel good!!

Thanks again folks for all the advice it has been VERY helpful.

Tim

Hi Tim,

Glad you got a deal that suits. I'm sure you will not be disappointed with Powrtouch, I've bought two movers from them and found their service to be excellent. They deliver when they say they will and the fitter turns up when promised.

Hi Tim. I got my Powrtouch heavy duty model 3 a couple of years ago and I echo the last poster's comments. It came when Powrtouch said it would and their fitter contacted me the same day to enquire when it would suit me for him to come and fit it. I think I paid

Hi Tim

You are a jammy so n so! I bought one at the caravan and boat show from the Powrtouch stand. I thought I'd got a good deal for exactly the same product as you until I saw your post. We paid

I had a PowrTouch fitted to our van after seeing years of positive postings about them although I have seen a negative in the last few months, the only negative post I've ever seen.

So far I've no complaints with the actual mover although I haven't had any need to test their back up service thankfully. If I ever do and from what I've read I've no need to worry.

Thanks for the further positive information.

Sorry to hear that you paid more DDave. When I first rang the salesman was quoting the list price,

Hi All

After due consideration of the fact that others had get a pricematch against the "Rhyno Lite" I got back to Powertouch today.

Personally I wouldn't right off the Rhyno. It also has a 5 year warranty, is lighter, has a higher clearance and being black is less discrete.

Powertouch do seem to have an excellent after sales service but my limited experience of Rhyno service to date has also been first class.

OOOH I'm a happy man

Powertouch phoned earlier today to say that the Mover would be delivered this Tuesday and the fitter phoned this evening to say that he will come and fit on Wednesday, ie, the following day.

So if all goes to plan from ordering to fitting in a week - impressive.

What's particulary good is that the mover will be fitted in time for our Easter break so it will be "push free"!!

Tim
