Hi there, I'm new to the forum and we have been caravanning for just about 12 months. I want to give the seat covers a really good clean but when I try to unzip them the buttons prevent you from removing? Has anyone come across this before? Or has anyone unhooked the buttons and managed to get them back through the foam.. Thought I should ask before I try it?

You have two sides to the cushions.
On the one side you have the upholstered button top, on the underside should be a small disc which is the anchor for the button.
You need to kneel on the cushion , one knee each side of the button to compress the foam and allow slack in the button cord, then unhook the disc from the cord and the button will pull out from the top side.
Putting them back is a bit more difficult, but with a long wooden skewer with a groove cut in the blunt end to hook the button cord it can be done in a very similar manner to removal, slide the skewer through the place where the button is going and then hook the button cord into the groove you cut and pull through.

Damian - thanks so much :) I'm going to try it starting with one of the smaller pieces first. Thanks again!

Just cleaned my upholstery a few weeks ago and caravans like new again.
But didn't go to all the bother of trying to remove the covers as you can hire a Rug Doctor from B&Q for only £20 plus upholstery solution.
Did an amazing job and I couldn't believe the colour of the water when I'd finished.
Just remember to thouroughly air the cushions before putting them back into place as they must be completely dry to avoid dampness - I left the heater on for a few hours just to be sure.

We have a steam cleaner that we use at home on carpets curtains etc. Works a treat on caravan upholstery.

We used a rug doctor type of thing when we had a major juice spillage over the upholstery. Like LADA we thought it was great.
