Evening all. Great time at hatton Country world, and yes the lemon curd with avocado is good. We bought a jar, but I don't know how much it was, cos herself had her wheelchair loaded with stuff, and you pay at a central pay point, so I don't know how much she spent! She had to pay by card though! The Royale club are having a black dinner at our AGM in October, and she bought her outfit at the dress shop in Hatton Park. It's quite a goo d shopping centre, if a little expensive. And no, I don't like shopping, but I have to go with her at the moment to push the w/chair. Sooner she's back on two feet the better!Lisa, where did you go in the Green land? We also can't wait to go back, but since I've retired we don't have time! No more hols nnow til the club's 35th aniversary celebrations 20-25th July. So much to do, so little time.............

Hi emmerson

Nice to have you back, you posh person. Stop moaning about the cost of your wife's spending, that's what you're there for, to finance your good lady!!

My friend and I flew to Dublin and stayed the night there, very expensive place, bars etc heaving, but we soldered on. The drinks get more expensive as the night goes on for some strange reason.

Then hired a car and drove to Wexford, beautiful countryside, they've built a new road from Dublin to Wexford so that was fine. Stayed in Wexford for four nights. Did loads of sighseeing, Can recommend a good pub in Wexford called The Ferry Carry. Had a look at the beach where they filmed Private Ryan.

The harbour was lovely, found a nice little Italian restaurant and had lunch there. Got over to Cork and Limmerick, beautiful places.

Highly recommend it. Will probably go again next year.

Lisa.

My wife and I spent a week in southern Ireland a few years ago. We were not impressed with Rosslaire but once out of the town and on the open road the week was fantastic. Went to Waterford, Cork and eventually around to the Ring of Kerry. There is only one way to decribe the Irish and that is very laid back without a care in the world. The welcome we had where ever we stopped was first class. Now we are both retired we will certainly be going back there even though they have more rain than south Wales.
