The pickup pipe from the Aquaroll is slowly changing from white to a shocking shade of pink. Have Puriclean socking in the system now, doesn't seem to be having much effect. If it's still there after a soak, I'll strip it down and make a pull through see if that moves it.
Anybody had a similar thing happen to thire pickup pipe??

Can you direct me to the How too insert a pic thread. Please

Hi Dave you have to make an account with someone like Post image, then try and follow my dictate that follows. Craig also has a good link but I think he is busy driving.

OC, I use post image , to upload the photo taken , and once I have selected the photo and then "share" i click on the right hand side of the second bit down called "dierect link" which then says copied. Go back to PC post page . Go to the little square thing with the chain link. Punch in 400 then below delete the https , and paste in that bit and then insert. Check preveiw and the photo should appear.

:woohoo: B) B) B) Yes yes yes yes .
Not showing very well, if you look carefully, the pipe almost opposite steady winding hole is a blotchy pink. It's on the inside
Its had Puriclean in for about six hours now, not touched it.

PS if you enlarge pic you can see it.

Interesting reaction. I never leave Puriclens I’m more than two hours at most. That’s sufficient to sterilise the system and reduce the likelihood of damage to hot water heater.

........yes also have pink blotches on the suction pipe.
Don't know what it is but I suspect material discolouration rather than some sort of deposit.

I only use an inboard water storage tank......never use external water storage.

Agree, I usually only use for a short time. Just seeing if the pink colour would clean off.
Puriclean should not attack the water heater, It says so on the tin. :p

Apologies to members whose posts are attributed to me, I edited to highlight and separate quoted text from a reply and for some reason my Avatar has attached itself.
I'll ask the technical wizards to resolve this issue on Monday when they're back at work.

I have a Whale external pump and the white cover that sits over the opening on the Aquaroll has taken on a bit of a pink hue. I thought the discolouration might have been caused by sunlight (uv?) affecting whatever material the cap is made from.

We had one of them clear plastic hoses that you shoved on a tap to fill the aquaroll. It went blotchy pink on the inside.. I assumed it was some sort of algae that discoloured plastic. Milton didn’t shift it either.
