Hi,
We are currently using 2 Inaca awnings (not at the same time though).
The full size "Elba" is great for longer breaks, however we use a "Puigmal" (winter tent) for shorter breaks and winter use.
It takes a fraction of the time to erect and the main pegs are installed from inside, which is a bonus during inclement weather.
The frame is sturdy and along with the winterised material, allows for a substantial weight of snow to accumulate on the roof, which light weight awnings will not normally cope with.
The doors of a lot of porch awnings are usually the panel directly adjacent to the side of the van, however on this model they are seperated from the van by a fixed piece of material, which suits our style, ie keeping rucksacs & walking poles etc away from the van, as you go in and out of the awning.
We use this awning during summer months too and it also copes well with the heat.
We have used this awning in some atrocious conditions over the last 2 years and are very happy with the quality of material and it's ability to cope with the weather and mud.
After washing it down after a particularly snowy and muddy stay in Keswick last month, it looks as good as the day we bought it..
..happy hunting,
Ken & Lara.
