insurance while towing

just checked our car cover,for when towing the van,i will only be 3rd party car and van,not fully comp on car,yes i did state i tow a caravan, THE CAR IS ONLY 3RD PARTY WHEN HITCHED'JUST SPOKEN TO INSURES i am amazed, gob smacked,is this normal,i live in Ireland.our van is under super 5 c,s caravan club insurance I AM NOT HAPPY

are changing over but will cost more but will stay fully comp on car when towing but not van,did find that Alliance R.O.I. when hitched one has no car insurance at all.lovely chat with John who has not come across the car insurance dropping to 3rd party or none at all when towing.PLEASE CHECK YOUR INSURANCE.i was always careful stating i tow and what with ,and reading small print as well and phoning up to ask to think i have towed and not bean fully comp on my car does not bare thinking about.i did ask this last year about cover on car when towing but only found out today. sarah
