Insuring a Cat C repaired caravan

hi

I have seen a very good value Cat C repaired caravan and I am tempted by it. the repairs have been carried out by my local dealer - who make no bones about buying a repairing caravans and who honestly told me everything about the rebuild, showing me photos etc, and even other vans they are currently repairing. There is a full engineers report available with it.

But as it is still a lot of money to me, I want it insured. Will the insurers have a problem with this? If it was stolen or crashed, how would they value the van in order to pay out what its actually worth.

How would they know? I insure mine with CIS and a 2 tonne trailer with them also and they have never asked for a chasis number on either of them.

If its purchased from a legit firm I wouldnt worry.
