After checking what Jeremy has said. Stop look at the lights are the bulb holder in good condition have thay any white powder around them. Is the little contact inside the holder clean does the contact move up and down in the bulb holder. You can check this by using a plastic bic pen.
If after doing all this still no go.Dis-connect battery start tracing the wires look at the back of the lamps see if any wires have dropped off. I do not know how much eleck knowledge you have but get a small battery with light or bell with very long leads so you can do ring outs of the circuits. Say one lead of the tester on the neg lead that you have taken of the battery and the other on the ground part of the bulb holder,s in the lamps if (bell/light) goes off alls ok there. Then swap lead to pos terminal that was connected to battery now with the other lead touch the little contact inside the bulb holder do not let it touch the outside of the bulb holder.By doing this you should be able to find where the problem is to put right.
Hope this is of some help. Please remember Saftey first at all times.
