If anyone has downloaded IE9 recently and find they can't post in the forum, copy/paste when editing a quote or cannot use emoticons then in IE9 go to .....

Tools >>>> Compatibility View Settings and add practicalcaravan.com and all should be ok.

Thanks for this information Lord B, it looks as though Allen who's comments failed to load earlier has a problem with his Internet Explorer 9
I passed on your advice but he replied that from Tools nothing stating Compatibility View Settings is displayed.
Any ideas?
I don't have IE 9 so I can't help much

Ah, you managed to rejoin us Allen

Was it IE9 conflicting with the forum software?
Our technical staff plan to do some work and implement some improvements to the forum software in the near future and the more information that we can supply regarding difficulties experienced when using the forum the better.

Sorry I'm late in replying, only just spotted it.

In IE9 click tools at the top and a drop down box opens. Two thirds of the way down are Compatibility View and Compatability Settings. Click the latter a dialog box opens as in the screenshot. Just type into 'Add This Site' practicalcaravan.com and then click ADD.

Thanks for that Lord B, both Steve in Leo and Allen have now regained access to the forum after following your instructions.

Well LB after reading your instructions regarding IE9, I downloaded it found to my dismay that I had lost the use of the favorites icon which I use all the time, failure to find it ,I have removed Explorer 9 Computer back to its normal self.
Perhaps you can advise what the advantaged it has over IE8.

To be honest Royston I find it faster. The favourites is on the top right at the end of the address bar. It's a star.
You can also put the cursor at the top of the page , right click and choose which toolbars you want showing including favorites bar. Ckick View on the Menu Bar and select what toolbars you want showing. Favorites are also on the Menu Bar after File-Edit-View.
