Is 26 feet to long

Hi all, hope you can advise us, we are going to look at Abbey spectrum 420 Twin axle which we are told is 26 feet long, we will be towing with a Toyota hilux surf 2.4, but i am sure i have read here some where that the legal limit is only 7 meters and i think 26 feet is 8meters am i right or would we be ok with this van.

any help appreciated

You should be ok as the 7 mts is the body length (excluding drawbar). My van has a total (shipping length) of just under 8 mts.

Had an Abbey about three vans back and that was ok . Don't know the Spectrum that well so can't help but I'm sure others will.

Are you sure its a 420? I'd have thought 5 or even 620 as this normally refers to the body length.

26 feet is 7.923 metres and 8 metres is 26'3' all bar about a 1/16th of an inch.

Not sure what is behind the question, our caravan has a shipping length just over 8 ( 26'5')metres as do many others.

Hi Chez. We have an Abbey Spectrum 540 and we tow ours with a Nissan Navara D22. No its not to long, We are looking to replace our 05 plate with the with the D40 or Toyota Hilux 3.0 Dies.
