Is a 300cm awning depth OK?

We're considering which depth awning to buy with our van and see that there are several depths available.

The dealer said that some sites don't accept awnings with a 3m depth. Is this widespread?

Would we reduce our choice of site significantly? Are the sites that don't take 3m awnings the tightly-packed sites that aren't so nice anyway?

I use a 3 metre deep Isabella & have never met with problems and mine is on the "wrong side", being a continental van.

We use a 3m awning and have never had a problem. Come to think of it, we have never been asked about awning size when checking in. Go for the big un, the extra space is great.
