Had gentleman with an Irish accent knocking on the door asking if I wanted to sell my van. Said his wife was looking for a four berth like that. Didn't mention it's only a tow berth.
Checked my security. Both wheels clamped, hitch lock, drive post and alarm. He most problem check them on the way to the door.
Hopefully they put him off.

I get it at least once a year, usually when they knock on the door asking if I want my driveway doing (it's gravel and a bit scruffy so attracts them like a magnet). All I do it ensure my security items are fitted properly. To be fair though when I tell them it isn't for sale they don't push it any further.

So far nobody offered to do our drive it a bit dirty but our neighbours across the road are having a new driveway put in and he ask me if he could leave his cars on my drive I said it will come at a cost the driveway needs a good jet washing so we shook hands . 🙏

I live on an A road and once a year I have my son's van on the drive in front of ours for any repairs ect. (just fits on with gates closed)
Two vans means that obviously one is for sale right? Wrong!
In the space of a week I had eight people knocking on my door to enquire which one I was selling.
I fitted all hitch locks, wheel locks and post, I even removed my son's wheels as his was the front van, finally I chained up the gates with a huge padlock.
I know that nothing is foolproof but I had done my best and thankfully we were never troubled.
It saddens me that all this should be needed just to guard your own property
