Is there a problem?

I have noticed recently that on occasion I will see that a new post has been added to a topic on the topics lists, only to go into that topic and not find a new post there. Does what I've just typed make sense?

This has happened several times today, I'm a real technophobe so I get really confused when things don't happen as I think they should!!

Hello Anita,

You have encountered one of the foibles of this forum. When you look at any topic, you are given the choice to REPLY TO TOPIC or adding a COMMENT. If you do either of these, your name goes to the top of the index page. However the topic page will only show new replies, or the first line of FIRST level comments.

If you comment on a comment you will only find it if you search ane drill down through the comments, even though you wil be shown as the last contributor in the index.

It is not ideal but it is teh system that Haymarket use, however we are promised a new and improved forum some time in the future, its been a long time comming!

Anita go to the sister magazine forum Practical Motorhome - they are so slow that it takes a minimum of 24 hours before your posting is visable on screen. Must be a gas fired archaic system they are using.
