Is there a facility to send personal messages to other forum contributors, without having to go through the moderators as previously happened?
I thought it was one of the 'updates' which was going to become available but I see on my account page that the email address will only be used for sending new passwords (I'm on my third attempt, but it's working this morning) or other 'mail' from Practical Caravan itself.
I also find it strange that the Forum messages don't update immediately - that seems odd, as most other Forums show posts immediately, and allow real-time replies as quickly as can be typed and 'saved'.

Good question, Val. There doesn't seem to be a member list, or any way of clicking on member's names, in order to send someone a PM. Perhaps they're still working on it.......or rather, doing things one at a time (let's face it, they're mostly techie GUYS - although I was informed by JD last night that there is in fact one techie GIRL!!! - so they perhaps aren't used to multitasking). Snigger snigger ;o)

*Sue now goes and sits in the naughty corner until told she can come out by Mr JD Techie Guy Sir*

I asked JD that and he said the forum only updates every 5 minutes.
I find it confusing to find the latest posts. There is a facility to mark all read posts but not one for unread posts. This would be a plus. Trying to find the latest posts mean I have to keep going backwards and forwards, up and down like a rattlesnake on heat.

Yes, I think it'll be worthwhile implementing the "see all latest posts" functionality we've used elsewhere, but it might need to wait until after we launch another website at lunchtime...

Not yet.

I don't like doing as I'm told ;o)

And you haven't answered the PMs bit! OK, I know we're asking a lot of you all at once.......

Just like a bus, wait for 5 years and two come along at the same time.
