As the title says--------
Had this pitch last week in Sussex, its actually a hard standing with fully serviced facilities, which we didn't pay extra for, they gave us a choice of two and the first one was surrounded by seasonals so I took this one

Yep that's me at the top of the field and that's only half of it :)
The only down side (if you can call it a downside0 was the kids used it for football practice over the weekend, but in saying that they were far enough away for me not to worry,, rest of the week sheer bliss.

We may not have seen it but we've all heard it :woohoo:

Funny you should say that, we were in a restaurant/cafe type thing on Friday having lunch, myself, mags, daughter and grandson, and there were about ten other couples/families all eating away and it was fairly quite, until....
grandson Jack said Gaga do you remember when you were setting up the bunk bed for me and you F-rted,
Man I could have died, but Mags and daughter were in stitches and took them twice as long to eat there lunch when all I wanted to do was to leave, mind you i got some funny looks when weI did leave.

Kids dont you just love them!

There are quite a few CL's out there with at least an acre of land, some with a lot more. That's why I use them; give me space rather than the housing estate looking club sites with neat little rows of vans equally spaced all facing the same way. :eek:hmy:

We often used certified site but no matter how much room is available somebody always seems to want to pitch right next to you.
It must be the herding instinct

We stopped on a CL near Hay-on-Wye that was 8 acres - but the 5 EHUs were all together.

My pet hate too, Parksy; drives me nuts, when I've tucked myself onto a nice quiet pitch, take the dog for a walk and come back to find units surrounding me  GGGGRRRRRRR!

AH, it's not just me then   we once pulled onto a site in St Austell down a back road when River valley let us down. 4 acres and completely empty. greatttttttt. we decided to take pitch 1 right next to the toilet block with her indoors being disabled, got set up had a cup of tea. and popped into town [6miles] for some shopping, when we got back 2 vans had turned up YEP on pitch 2 and 3. one had 3 small kids and the other 4 dogs.
now I have got nothing against kids or dogs [had both in our time] but on 4 acres of fields to go at "come on" it stayed like that [very noisy] for the next 4 days with only 3 vans on.
Saturday came round and two more vans arrived and yes you guessed it pitch 4 and 5 so we left early sun morning two days early.
on departing I called into the office to hand in the toilet key and complain the owner said "OH" that's a shame but around the amenities block seems very popular for some reason :woohoo: :woohoo:
I wish they had told us that on arrival
