Hi Sparkle

Hope you afre enjoying your new found hobby?

Like Jo-anne we have a Wyoming and use a new Izzy 1090cm Capri Lux. Got mine in January 2008 from Swindon Caravans who at that time gave the best price! I had to bargain hard but as they are only 4 miles down the road it was easier for me.

Ok, In the past I have had two NR Components Pullmans with steel poles. They always served me well.

Over the last five years we had two Izzy capri Lux with carbon x poles. The quality of an Izzy is in the using. I believe they are the Rolls Royce of awnings and second to none. Ok they are more expensive but will last a long time.

As for storms I can tell you both mine have stood up in real high storms at Trewethett Farm Tintagel and Ardmair Point near Ullapool. I always use 8" screwpegs or the equivalent because they are secure and easy to remove. You must use the Hercules tensioner tool with the Izzy otherwise you just wont get it tight enough.

Hope the Clamp is working well.

Cheers

Alan

Hi Alan, i now have 2 buuldog centaurs(1 of which was yours) and they are big solid monsters aren't they, i wouln't like to try and steal my caravan though because they'd have to make some noise to get those things off then there is my german shepherd dog to contend with, so i think we are safe! Thanks again Alan, you are a brilliant guy, that was a bargain.

After much deliberation we are probably going to get an Izzy all in one (universal) porch awning as we never stay anywhere for that long due to my unsettled 3 cherubs, so a porch awning will give us the much needed space for drying the pooch and storing all the wet coats and muddly boots. We had already bought some tacky cheapo porch awning from our dealer (
