Our Dukdalf recliners are now 17 years old and losing their support (they've served us well!) so we're looking to replace them and quite like the Isabella Modi, but as it's nearly half the price of the others (Thor, Belle) I wondered if anyone else had them and could vouch for how good they are? They seemed comfortable enough when we tried them at the NEC but wondered how they stand the test of time as there must be a quality difference with the price difference?

Had our Lafumas since around 2001. Been used for caravanning and also in the garden at home. Very hard wearing and the availability of parts is excellent. But all we have ever bought was set of suspension elastics.

Vango Radiate have heaters in the them - powered by a power bank, the type you use for topping up phones when out and about. Go Outdoors often have the Vango chairs on offer. We have the Vango DLX they are super comfortable and the heaters work well.

Lafuma, as Isabella though do chairs of differing designs best suited for different tasks, eg, dining or reclining.
We have currently, well for the last 6 odd years at a guess, Lafuma for reclining and Thor for dining and for walking portability for when we gather with other people for socialising.
What you need them for and their weight for portability are IMO two major choice drivers.

The Lafuma, ours their recliners are way too heavy to carry two even a hundred metres, and that model makes for a poor dining chair. In more recent times they have defaulted more to home based garden use, rather than being taken caravanning as originally intended.

The Thor is not bad at both caravanning tasks, we purchased the leg rests and dual storage bag as that was the "promotion" at the time. Now neither of us would buy the leg rests; the storage bag is worth having for off trip storage. The Thors we rate much like earlier Dukdalfs; one wonders if they make them for Isabella?

I would be very guarded in the acquisition of something of the same brand marketed for half the price and study where the production cost saving has been made, and what those cost saving aspects compromise.

Thanks for the feedback. We currently have two Dukdalf recliners, which are very tired now and a bit "clumsy" trying to store/transport them so we are now looking for recliners BUT without the foot rest part and ideally fold up to go in the back of the car and not the caravan as our user payload in this one is nowhere near the 376kgs payload we had in the previous caravan! We usually use them for lounging in the awning but occasionally sitting round the table in the awning to eat in the warmer weather.

We went for the Lafuma a few years ago mainly to save a few kgs as we carry them in the caravan. Previously no room in the car due to 3 dogs, but now we are down to one so that could change. Payloads in even big caravans are pathetic!
