Hi All

I'm thinking about changing to these Isafix clamps on my Magnum Porch.

Has anyone done this before?

If so, how easy is it? as I'm an incompetent diy'er.

Has anyone changed on a Magnum? If so how many & what size clamps do I need?

Cheers for your help

Yep, really easy. I have upgraded most of these fittings on my Isabella Minor for the new type which are much easier to use. There are two sizes you just pick the one that matches the thickness of your poles. They are a push fit, not glued on but some may seem like it. Good luck.

Hi Julian,

Yes, when we bought our Magnum at the NEC in February 2009 there was an offer that all Isabella awnings bought at the show would have Isafix clamps. I took me about

Hi

I was thinking of fitting Isafix clamps to my Bradcot Classic fibre frame. It's the same make of frame as the Isabella as I use Isabella spare parts.

Ours is a 1020cm awning and I've added 2 extra roof poles/legs, as it tended to "pool" water on the roof, so if I swapped clamps I would need 18x26mm.

With such a large awning anything that makes putting up the awning easier would be good but on the other hand the going price seems to be 3 clamps for

Hi Julian

If you have the frame diagram that came with your awning that should give you the size of poles - the clamps go on the thicker of the 2 poles at each joint.

I remembered the diagram just in time - I was thinking I'd have to climb into our loft to measure the poles diameter.

Looks like I'm off to google for the best priced now.

Cheers for now
Hi Tim,

The new clamps are better - but in my opinion not even close to
