Isabella Magnum awning

I have an Isabella Magnum awning but am comfused as to how I attach the top half of the wheel arch cover to the van. Although there are press studs on the cover I can't find anywhere to attach them to. What do I do? Help please!!!

We also have an Isabella Magnum, which ever type of awning you have, most wheel arch covers don't have anyway of fixing them to the caravan side above the wheel arch without sticking on the press-studs or screwing a fixing point which may well invalidate your caravan warranty. The easiest way is to purchase the rubber suction cups, from most diy stores and hardware stores, I found the type that have a small loop hole on them so I could sew them to the wheel arch cover and simply by wetting them, they stick on easily to the caravan wall. Hope this helps!

Hi Lorraine

Thanks for that - will give it a try. I don't know why these awning manufacturers don't attach a magnetic strip to the wheel-arch cover and supply one to put on the van or something like that - problem solved, and it wouldn't damage the van in any way either.

Hi Chris

If you go onto isabellas web site they do a kit which is a press stud receiver which you attach to the van with a resin, saves you having to drill a hole and screw it in place.

You then can simply use the skirt as designed however personnaly I use the suction hook idea.

hope this helps

John

The suction hooks are the best, the press studs corrode and look a right mess after one winter on salty roads.J.Lo
