Hello all,

I am looking to buy an Annex for my Isabella Capri, could anyone tell me the difference between a Ventura 250 tall Annex against the Isabella 250 tall Annex (apart from the price), thanks, Kim.

Hi Kim

I believe the annexes are the same...just made by different parts of the same company/ in different countries. There are slight differences in the awnings but only to the extent of how many and where are the doorsetc but I think fit wise you will find them the same. You could email Isabella and ask them. They are a great company to dael with and I think they will give you an honest answer. A dealer might put more emphasis on a sale.

We have the Isabella tall annex for the 230cm sold for the Penta and our Magnum. These are the same design as the 250 series for the Ambassador etc but just a touch narrower.

The Ventura Tall annex is far from the same quality unit in acrylic materials, end door, windows etc but arguably the Isabella is over designed and specified if all you actually want is and additional bedroom. It was not available when we got ours but at today's prices I would go for the Ventura. I have been assured by Isabella UK at an NEC that the Ventura would fit our Ambassador.

Whilst these are exceptionally good annexes they are also by virtue of their steel frame surprisingly heavy. You will be pleased with either except the weight and wince every time you remember what you paid. Unless you are lucky enough to get a second hand one at a lower price. Nobody will wear one out so buying SH ought to be considered.

They make a bedroom tent to fit, which I can also vouch for.

You will find that the Isabella annexe has a double zip where you can zip the side panel back in giving you a self contained annexe complete with its own 'door'. The ventura one doesn't have this facility but is certainly as well made but lots cheaper.

Whilst the Isabella does have the twin zips designed to be able to put back the awning side you cant zip in in fully as the annex rafter tubes are in the way. The result is the side is zipped from the two side rafter tubes to the ground on each edge but across the top it is unzipped. You can clip this piece up but not zip it.

Putting the side back does make things tidier though it looks odd for the reason stated above but we question the value of this feature and rarely bother putting our side " back in".
