I have just bought a set off jack pads and I am not sure which way round they go on.

THey are the weighted type on the pad there is an arrow - does this point to the axel when fitted or to the front/back edge of the van?

Many thanks

do you mean the direction the steadies travel or the direction the van travels?

Hi Ian.

I have always assumed that the arrow points to the front end of the van.

Some pads do flap around when the van is on the move. I have used a blob of "blue tac" to weight the pads one end and stick them to the support leg while in transit.

Think the advice about avoiding speed humps is garbage if your outfit is that low you would smash the legs off as well I could not get that near a speed hump as the motor mover would be smashed let alone jack pads

A good tip is to screw some stainless stel screws through the end of the "securing" rod to prevent them vibrating out.

I lost the two rear pads until I followed this tip.

Originally thought it was theft.
