Jacking plates

Hi All

Does anyone know if the plates that are fitted to the caravan chassis as the jacking point can be bought separately ? The jack that I have for my big Peugeot 406 estate looks identical to the Alko jack so I could make do with only one jack and without the additional expense.

My current one is just a 'standard' caravan scissor jack which ( I know I'm tempting fate here), I have never had to use in over 20 years of caravanning but sooner or later I will need to so perhaps an easier to use bit of kit would be better.

Regards

Hello JohnM

You can find the galvanised mounting brackets on the Alko website.

Hi Reg

They normally use a big hydraulic trolley jack which doesn't need jacking plates. Neither you nor I would want to lug one of those around with us whilst out on the road !! Alternatively, some of the bigger service companies use a lift which raises the whole caravan off the floor up to working height.
