Jubilee coins

We got these two Jubilee coins from the Royal Mint. We think they are rather nice and honour our Queen. The one with the stamps is the nicest and apparently only 2750 were struck. Queen Jubilee.jpgQueen Jubilee1.jpg

My wife has over several years collected "Crowns" from The Royal Mint. One for each of our boys, all stored away.

My eldest lad, who is 40 and always hard up. Has a jar of old £1 coins about £100 worth. When the style was changed I asked him why he didn't change them, his reply was, there might be a few rare ones in amongst them, that could be worth a lot in years to come.

That will depend on whether you're buying or selling. I have some George III bronze pennies, all dated from the late 1700's. If you want to buy one, they are around 20 to 25 quid each from a dealer. Try selling him one. You'll be lucky to get £2.50.
Abit like buying or selling a caravan.

We put the one with the stamps into a frame to display in our lounge.
