Is there a way to jump to a specific page number on a long thread when the page list is shown as, for example:
1, 2, 3,4 ...............32
and you want page 26?

I've just tried to find a way using the long running Woosie thread but I couldn't jump to a particular page number Sir WC.
The best I could manage was to jump along a couple of pages at a time using the numbered boxes.
If you can remember a specific phrase that you want to find the search tab (top right) might help to speed things up by placing you in the middle numbers of a long running thread rather than clicking through the numbers two at a time.

Hi there. As Parksy said, you can navigate to different pages using the numbered boxes at the top and bottom of the page, and on the index page. To jump straight to the end of a thread, you can also click the 'Last Post' button on the index page.

I've found the answer, you use the web address for a specific item number on a thread. There are approximately 10 items per page, so you can estimate the page number and multiply by 10 and edit the appropriate number, eg
http://www.practicalcaravan.com/forum/chit-chat/44911-woosie-club?start=910
will take you to item 910 on the Woosie thread where you can read the page number if required and further navigate.

Two other tips for searching this forum are:
1. A string of text can be searched for if included in quotes, eg "joe blogg's dad" rather than the search engine giving each occurrence of each word.
2. The default is to only search in the recent 12 months, so you need to reset this every search to 'Any date' for threads over 12 months old.

The box to the right of last year, click on that and select, " and older" gives similar results.
