Hi everyone,
I have just joined the forum, and I am an avid reader of the magazine.
My wife and I have been caravanners for around 12 years, and have owned 5 caravans. Last year, we made the fatal mistake of selling our pride and joy, only due to the fact that both our jobs were clashing, and we only managed to get away 3 times in one season.
We then made another fatal mistake and decided to buy a tent, I hated it!! Although my wife liked it, I had to admit to her that I would never go tenting again, and we agreed to try and find a cheap small 2 berth now that we don't need a family sized van any more.
We have agreed to buy an Eldiss Elf from a dealer when it comes in in 4 weeks time. It has some faults, but I know what needs doing, and I will do them before setting off on our first outing - Can't Wait - Happy Days again!!

Hi Rattrap, welcome to the forum.
Tenting is fine for youngsters but there comes a time when a few home comforts are called for. Good luck with your Elldiss and let us know how the repairs are going.

Thank you for the welcome. Got the Elddis this weekend, and spent all day on it today. Very satified with the progress made so far, not as bad as what I thought. Bought an Isabella awning for it on ebay three weeks ago, put it up on Saturday and found that it is too small for the caravan! Just bought a Dorema Madison which is the correct size, and a caravan cover today.
It's all spend , spend , spend!!
