Hi Adrian, did you buy it new? How long have you had it and how many times have you used it? Have you used it in exceptional windy conditions and if so have you got the monsoon poles?
The reason I ask is quite a few of us on here have one and I have not heard of this before.
Hope you dont mind me being nosey.

Hi Gagakev.
It was a little bit cheaper when we bought it due to the fact that it had very slight(and it is very)staining on one of the roll down window panels.
Yes it was used in very windy conditions last week at Brean(made an earlier post while on holiday about it blowing along the awning rail about 9 inches).
I did purchase the monsoon poles about a month ago and Ive got a very sneaky suspition that I may have accidently caught the awning roof with the "clip" part of the pole.
The actual split is about the width of a one pence piece and certainly wasnt there on the previous trip.
Stephen.......unfortunatly ours didnt come with a repair kit or seam sealer.
Maybe this will teach me to be more careful in future wont it

Thanks for the replies

Sorry to hear about the tear Adrian. We had our awning up in those recent gales and I was very pleased because it stood up to it and none of the pegs came loose. Friends of ours who bought a Kampa after our recommendation took theirs down in the gales when staying at Godrevy Park CC site because they didn't want to chance it.
When we bought our Kampa it came with a patch of material.
