Recently purchased one of the above Awnings that we are very pleased with. However rather than use the Hand Pump supplied looked at the market for an electric Pump which are quite expensive. I have a electric Compressor for the car and was wondering if anyone has found a suitable adaptor to fit between the Compressor hose and the Awning inlet. Obviously would have to be careful regarding pressure when using this Compressor.

Hi Sprocket,
Many thanks for your interest in my query. I think you have misunderstood the Car compressor I was mentioning, its one I use to inflate the car and caravan tyres with with a max output pressure of approx. 90psi!!
However after writing my article I looked around the Web and found the Compressor you describe and ordered one which I expect delivery tomorrow. Like you say should be easier on the back and no more "puffing" using the manual Pump. Is the Bravo BP12 calibrated in PSI and bar units?Understand the Pump "cuts out" after reaching the set pressure? What pressure do you set your Pump at for your Kampa 330?
Kind regards

Hello Chalky

My 330 has got only one point for ease of inflation, I set my pump at 3psi just so that the awning it gets it's shape just to help put the first pegs in, I then just reset the pump to 11psi and it cuts out when the pressure is reached.

I have found that this battery ( a spare one from our stair lift ) works it quite well ;) but I have fitted a 20amp inline fuse into the wiring, the battery then fits into the center pocket that the cable was stored in ;)

Good afternoon Sir Sprocket,
My Bravo Pump came yesterday and look forward to trying it on our trip out next week. Our 390 has the same single inflation point also. Thanks for the 3psi and 11 psi tip when inflating the Awning.
That "stairlift" battery sounds a good move, save messing about connecting to the caravan leisure battery. Any idea who sells this type to fit the centre portion of the Pump bag?

Kind regards
Chalky
