Probably both are right.
There are two definitions of kerb-weight, basically differing by an allowance for the driver (and some fuel and fluid differences).
And both are also wrong - specification differences and manufacturing tolerances will mean that the weight will be different - and almost certainly heavier than you expect.
The heavier weight of around 1760kg is probably the "new" EU definition and should be close to the weight you'll also find on the vehicle V5. Have you looked there, because that's the right place to find this information.
